Mid-Pen is one of the many San Francisco Bay Area independent schools using a web-based application called Ravenna for the submission of online applications. Recommendation letters will be conveniently shared across multiple school applications.
Within Ravenna, you will be able to read detailed application steps, download admission forms, register for our Open House events, electronically request teacher and principal/counselor recommendations, submit your application online, and track your application progress.
At Mid-Pen, we strive to know all of our students as individuals, so a private tour is the perfect opportunity for you to share your child's story with our admissions team while you experience Dragon Life. Think of it as the first step toward creating a close working relationship between your family and our school community.

On your tour, you'll see our beautiful building and outdoor spaces, observe our classes in action, and feel firsthand the vibe of our community!
We'll also teach you about our mission and philosophy, and answer all of your questions.
Visiting campus is the best way for you to get to know us. Open House programs offer families an opportunity to see Mid-Pen and hear from our students and faculty. Admission Office staff will be available to answer any questions you might have regarding admission and our Tuition Assistance program.

After attending an Open House or taking a campus tour, we invite your student to participate in a campus visit at Mid-Pen. Your student will learn about life at Mid-Pen by spending the day going to classes, making new friends, meeting teachers, and experiencing firsthand what life is like at Mid-Pen.

All Mid-Pen applicants are required to provide three (3) letters of recommendations from faculty/staff members from the current academic year. Using your Ravenna account, please request recommendations from the following:
Principal or Counselor
Your teachers and principal or counselor will complete their letter of recommendation and submit it via Ravenna.
Applications will be accepted starting on October 1, 2019.
We use the School and Student Services (SSS) financial aid system to evaluate and process all tuition assistance applications. Each application is evaluated on a case by case base basis, using a holistic approach to best consider every family’s unique financial situation.
Please keep in mind that you must submit your taxes to the IRS as soon as possible so you can have your returns to us by our deadline. Every year, families miss out on the opportunity to receive aid because they do not get their forms to us by the deadline -- please get those taxes submitted ASAP!
Please note that the financial aid application is due January 9, 2020, and that your supporting tax documents are due February 15, 2020.

Once you have complete the application, click "Pay & Submit Prelim App," where you can submit your application along with the $100 application fee via Ravenna.
