Scenes from DragonFest 2019

On February 9, 2019, the Mid-Pen community turned out for a party the likes of which might not have been seen since since the days of Prohibition, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Al Capone.

A steady rain made the unmarked door to Devil's Canyon Brewing Company difficult to find, lending an air of authenticity to the evening's "speakeasy" theme. Once inside, however, the 160 guests were swept back to the era of hot jazz, elegant flappers, and big-time bootleggers.

Many thanks to DragonFest co-chairs Jill Andre P '20 and Jana Weaver P '21, who created a Prohibition-inspired evening of food, drink, and fun that allowed parents, alumni, alum parents, trustees, and teachers, to party behind closed doors and out of sight of the law.

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to help bring DragonFest together, and for everything you do to support our students. Whether it was a sponsorship, an item donation, your enthusiastic attendance, or “all of the above,” your support helped make this year's DragonFest a resounding success!

DragonFest 2019 raised more than $125,000 in support of Mid-Pen's educational and financial aid programs. Watch the video above to learn more about how your contributions to DragonFest benefit Mid-Pen.
