DragonFest

DragonFest is Mid-Pen's annual celebration of community.

Mid-Pen’s "ungala," DragonFest is a night for parents, staffulty, and friends to celebrate, connect, and have fun. No auctions, no fundraising—just great company, delicious food, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Held each year in March, DragonFest is designed to be informal and inclusive, bringing our community together in a way that’s accessible to all.

Our most recent event, DragonFest 2025: Strike Up the Fun, was a resounding success! Over 100 attendees joined us at Pinstripes in San Mateo for an evening of bowling, bocce, and laughter. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to provide sliding-scale tickets and sponsor staffulty attendance, ensuring that everyone who wanted to participate could join in the fun.

DragonFest is one of the things that makes Mid-Pen distinctive. It's a gala that isn’t about raising money but is instead about celebrating what makes Mid-Pen special: our incredible community.

Get set for an evening filled with fantastic food, delightful drinks, friendly competition, and enough strikes and spares to make Dungee the Dragon proud! We're gathering at Pinstripes in San Mateo, an Italian-inspired bistro that  boasts a 12-lane bowling alley, a couple of indoor bocce courts, a beautiful heated patio, and a fabulous bar.

Whether you're a seasoned bowler, a first-time bocce player, or just an enthusiastic spectator, this year’s DragonFest is for everyone, with tickets starting at $10.
