DragonFest 2021

In a year like no other, we created a DragonFest like no other.In 2021, nearly a year into the shutdown resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, DragonFest, Mid-Pen’s big fundraising gala, went virtual. But this was no ordinary Zoom meeting. We’ve partnered with Eventure, an international event production company, to create a truly interactive virtual event, bringing together the entire Mid-Pen community to celebrate our school's strength, creativity, and magic.

Guests entered a virtual ballroom and could join "tables" to sit with friends and have fun while watching live-streamed performances by our amazingly talented students, teachers, and alumni. There were virtual tables for trustees, parents, students, alums, and alumni parents. And when the live performances were over, guests were invited to stay late and table hop around the room, enjoy the dance music at the After Party, or be wowed by a bit of up-close magic by our strolling magician.
