We’re Proud to be AP Free

We don’t teach to a test. We teach for real learning.

At Mid-Pen, we’ve chosen not to offer AP courses so our teachers can design learning experiences that go deeper, not just faster.

Without the pressure of a standardized curriculum, students can think critically, collaborate, apply what they learn in meaningful ways, and build college-ready skills that last.

And, yes, students can still take AP exams if they choose to pursue college credit for a class.  Here’s what we know. Colleges don’t just want APs. They want thinkers. That’s who we’re preparing.
