At Mid-Pen, music is about more than notes on a page. From day one, students jump right in—strumming, drumming, singing, and experimenting together. Whether you’re trying out your first chord or perfecting a solo, Mid-Pen’s music program gives you the space to jam, take risks, and discover how fun making music can be. Every student has a place here—beginners and seasoned musicians alike—working side by side to create something bigger than themselves.
Spring Concert 2025: Live at the Guild
Every year, our music ensembles perform at the illustrious Guild Theatre in Menlo Park, where students get to experience a true rock-star moment. After working all school year in their ensembles, perfecting vocal riffs and instrument solos, students shine on stage in front of their friends, families, and teachers.
This is no ordinary school concert. With The Guild’s world-class acoustics, dynamic lighting, and professional videography, our Dragons don’t just play music—they put on a show worthy of the stage.
Built in the 1920s and restored in 2022 with a stunning $35 million renovation, The Guild is a historic treasure. Its polished wood, stone finishes, and magnificent art deco chandelier create a spectacular backdrop for an evening that leaves audiences in awe and students feeling like true stars.
