Financial Aid 2017-18
Mid-Peninsula High School is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and adheres to its “Principles of Good Practice.” To support its goal of reflecting diversity in its student body, Mid-Peninsula High School provides financial aid to families who otherwise would not be able to afford a Mid-Peninsula education. All financial aid awards are based exclusively on financial need. In compliance with NAIS Principles, we do not offer merit or athletic scholarships.
Mid-Peninsula High School provides Financial Aid as a grant, and financial aid is not expected to be repaid to the school. Grants vary in size depending on need and some families qualify for full tuition aid. In addition to tuition, financial aid can cover most school related costs, including textbooks, supplies, yearbooks, athletic uniforms, computer/laptop resources and transportation to school events.
In order to determine financial aid awards, Mid-Peninsula uses Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST), which is a service of Independent School Management (ISM), to process your financial aid application and conduct a needs analysis. Each application is evaluated on a case by case basis. Financial aid is treated confidentially, objectively and professionally. You may also submit a letter explaining any unusual circumstances or expenses that you think are important for us to know. This can be done through the application or you may also submit it directly to Mid-Peninsula High School. It is required for all families receiving financial aid to re-apply each school year as financial circumstances can change.
In addition, all tax documents for 2017 must be sent U.S. Mail directly to FAST in order to be considered for Financial Aid. This must occur by the financial aid taxes deadline of February 10, 2018.
