Caltrain to Menlo Park/Menlo Park Willow Road Shuttle (Effective August 7, 2023)

• Northbound train #109 arrives at the Menlo Park station at 8:34 am
• Southbound Train #108 arrives at the Menlo Park station at 8:38 am

Students will transfer to the free Menlo Park Willow Road Shuttle at 8:41 am, which departs from the Caltrain station bus stop on Alma Street. Southbound students will need to walk to the designated crossing area to reach the bus stop. Mid-Pen’s stop is 1200 O’Brien/Willow Road. Students will walk half a block to Mid-Pen’s campus. They will be at Mid-Pen by 9 am.

The Mid-Pen van will be at the Menlo Park Caltrain station at 8:30 am on Merrill Street for any students who do not find a seat on the Menlo Park City Shuttle.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday

Students who ride Caltrain home can take the Menlo Park Willow Road Shuttle to the Menlo Park Caltrain station. The Menlo Park Willow Road Shuttle stop is located at 1200 O’Brien/Willow Road and picks up riders at: 

Run 1: 4:10 pm pick-up 1200 O’Brien/Willow Road to meet Northbound train #125 at 4:34 pm and Southbound train #124 at 4:36 pm.

Run 2: 5:10 pm pick-up 1200 O’Brien/Willow Road to meet Northbound train #127 at 5:34 pm and Southbound train #126 at 5:36 pm. 

If a shuttle is full, students can wait in the school’s Enrichment Center or Student Center until the next shuttle arrives. Students can also take the Dumbarton Express at Willow Road/Ivy to the Palo Alto University Caltrain Station.

On Wednesdays (Early Dismissal)

Students taking Caltrain from Palo Alto /University Avenue can ride the Dumbarton Express, which currently stops at Willow Road/Ivy (Stop ID #51449). For up-to-date information on Dumbarton Express routes, you can use the UMO website or app for real-time scheduled stops. Additionally, google maps is also another helpful up-to-date resource.

Students taking Caltrain from Palo Alto /University Avenue can ride the Dumbarton Express, which currently stops at Willow Road/Ivy (Stop ID #51449). For up-to-date information on Dumbarton Express routes, you can use the UMO website or app for real-time scheduled stops. Additionally, google maps is also another helpful up-to-date resource. 

Update:

The following changes were recently implemented.
DB and DB1 bus stops on Willow at O'Brien (Eastbound service) and Willow at Ivy Drive (Westbound service) are projected to be removed as part of the Dumbarton Corridor Project. 

The Project is intended to improve transit service by speeding up the buses through the corridor, improving reliability, and benefiting the most bus riders.  

Project staff determined that the distance from these stops to the ones immediately before and after were within reasonable walking distance (approximately 1,400 feet) of the removed stops at Ivy and O’Brien.  

Alternate bus stops are the following:
     Willow Road at Hamilton Street (Westbound)
     Willow Road at New Bridge Avenue (Westbound and Eastbound)

Dumbarton Corridor Improvement Project

The Dumbarton Corridor Improvement Project (Project) aims to improve reliability and reduce travel times for transit service. Construction will take place from January 2023 through Spring 2023 on weekdays.
