Small School, Big Benefits

Dedicated to the belief that all students belong with expert and compassionate teachers, Mid-Peninsula High School empowers students with the knowledge and purpose to impact a complex world.

Academics

Classes at Mid-Pen are challenging and comprehensive, stimulating your curiosity and encouraging your critical-thinking skills. We offer college prep courses in all subjects while providing a flexible approach to assure appropriate course placement for all students.

Athletics

Mid-Pen's "no-cut" policy means that if you want to join a team, you are always welcome, regardless of experience. With interscholastic competition in a variety of sports from cross-country to tennis, everyone can find a sport they love.

Mid-Pen Online

In response to the global pandemic, our distance learning program, Mid-Pen Online, offers students a full program of academics and electives, including music, art, and drama, along with virtual clubs and social activities. We even have online PE classes and after-school training for team sports.

Core

Your Core Teacher is your academic advisor and your advocate, serving as a liaison between the school and your parents. Your Core Teacher knows your academic strengths and your learning style, and works closely with you and your parents to help you set and achieve your goals.

Music

Students make important connections by playing music together, so our music classes are focused on making music not just learning about music. No matter your skill level, you will be playing in an ensemble from your first day at Mid-Pen.

DragonWeek

Got an interest in bicycle repair or glass blowing? How about a yen to see the Parthenon in Athens or the museums of Los Angeles? Our January DragonWeek gives you the chance to pursue personal interests through ungraded, immersive experiences in the arts, humanities, science, and technology.
